Second protest against the assualt on Gaza and for peace in the Middle East in Woodstock, New York in 2009. Today, Saturday, January 4, 2009.
The Middle East Crisis Coalition called the demonstration and is working towards peace in the Middle East by focusing attention on the oppression of the Palestinian people, the need for a Palestinian state, and upon converting war related manufacturing in Hudson Valley to ecologically sound and forward thinking manufacturaing of energy products for peace, energy, and jobs rather than supplying war-related hardware to defense contractors.
On this 40th Anniversary year of the Peace, Love, and Music Festival that made Woodstock an icon for peace around the world--hope to see you today on the Village Green at 2:30pm.
